YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO BUY THE BROTHER KIT AND USE IT ON THE CM SERIES – THE PATTERNS AND THE FONT ARE ENCRYPTED SO CAN ONLY BE USED ON THE DX MACHINE.
How to draw single line calligraphy fonts and patterns using the universal pen holder on the ScanNCut using Kuretake calligraphy pens!
No special pen holder required, no technical skills needed…just use your regular universal pen holder, your existing machine and calligraphy markers 🙂
I’ll add links to the pens I’ve used at the bottom of the post…but I wanted to explain why this works.
A new calligraphy pen kit for the DX series came on to the market: I thought it was something new, and different, so imported it in from Europe before it became available in the UK.
I used it once, and was very impressed BUT BUT BUT
When I took a closer look at the kit, I immediately realised that the “special calligraphy pen holder” was JUST THE EXISTING UNIVERSAL PEN HOLDER!
And the vast majority of ScanNcut users already have a universal pen holder – hence no need to buy the new kit to draw calligraphy patterns and fonts!
I will put up an explanatory video later – I wanted to get the information out there before the kit comes out on to the UK market and users waste a lot of money on a piece of equipment they will already have purchased!
